With Studio East, we are excited to announce the school play: Peter Pan in Neverland! A fun re-telling of the classic tale of the boy who never grows up, packed with pirates and adventure! With enough roles for up to 50 students! The informational meeting happened earlier this week, but click here for more information.

Lakeview loves to dance! Our annual Dance Week will be the week of April 11-15 right after students return from Spring Break. The three specialist teachers will be combining classes by grade level every day and teaching different dances. 

On Friday, April 15, the whole school will have a virtual dance assembly. The theme for this Friday dance is “Rainbow Spirit” and students are encouraged to wear their favorite color, or a variety of colors! 

Parent volunteers are needed to help model the dances at all grade level times. Please contact music teacher Mrs. Brackett to volunteer.

A giant "Thank you!" and "Wow!" for all the creative entries in the Lakeview new logo contest. We were blown away by so many artistic contributions. You can see all the amazing entries hanging in the school entryway. Congratulations to Charlotte Peterson, 4th grade, for creating the new Lakeview logo pictured here. We will be introducing the logo throughout the school in the coming weeks as well as new Leopard spirit wear items to purchase soon. Go Leopards go!

The all school Science Fair is Thursday, May 5 (5-7pm) and everyone is invited to come for a night of learning! Our 3rd grade student scientists and engineers are already off and running with their projects as classroom assignments, but the science fair is open to all grades to participate! A sign-up form should have come home with your child with information this week with all the details to participate. Please email us if you need more information or did not receive the sign-up form. 

The week of May 9 is Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week! All week long, our amazing teachers and staff will be showered with love and appreciation for their hard work and dedication to our students. Be on the lookout for information on how to join in on the love! 

The final PTSA meeting of the school year will be Tuesday, May 10 at 6:30pm. We really hope to meet in person for this meeting. Save the date!
