Welcome message from our PTSA Co-Presidents

Hello Lakeview Families!

We are thrilled to welcome back our returning families and extend a warm welcome to new families joining us for the 2023-2024 school year. We are Carol and Erin, your Lakeview Elementary PTSA Co-Presidents, and together with the PTSA Board of Directors, we are excited to work with all of you to make this an amazing school year.

The PTSA Board has been busy preparing for what we hope will be a fun and engaging year. Our focus is on bringing the community together, providing enrichment opportunities across art, STEM programs, and athletics, and helping students develop confidence and independence through new experiences such as field trips.

This year, we will host family favorites including the Ice Cream Social,Trunk-or-Treat, Dance Night, and Carnival, as well as support school events such as Science Fair and Multicultural Night. We will work with teachers to plan and raise funds for teacher grants and field trips. Working with the Lake Washington Schools Foundation, we will support the Pantry Pack program to bring food to students in need.

We need your help to make these events and programs possible.Please consider making a difference by donating, volunteering your time, or both!

Kindy 1st day of school meet up

We know how special the first day of kindergarten is for your little one and for you. Join us after drop-off to celebrate, make connections, and maybe cry a bit together.

The Lakeview PTSA will be there to greet you with coffee and pastries, and answer any questions you have about our school and our community!

When and where?

Kindy Families in Group A: Friday, Sept 8th at 9:10am
Kindy Families in Group B: Monday, Sept 11th, at 9:10am

Look for the balloons at the Lakeview Elementary 68th St. entrance.

Walk to school, walk the trail!

Lakeview PTSA in partnership with Kirkland Public Works, is promoting taking the Cross Kirkland Corridor to get to and from school.

On September 12th, look for the PTSA give away station for prizes when walking the CKC.

In the morning: from 8:30 'til 9:05 am @New Terrace Park stairs to Cross Kirkland Corridor
In the afternoon: from 3:40 'til 4 pm @Cross Kirkland Corridor entrance from Lakeview Elementary

Volunteer Opportunities

We have two great events coming up and we need your help!

Walk to School Day is on Tuesday, September 12th. Lakeview and the City of Kirkland are teaming up to encourage using the Cross Kirkland Corridor (CKC) trail when walking to and from school. This is the safer option and will help reduce congestion on 68th St. Click here to sign up.

Picture Day is coming up on Thursday, September 14th. We need volunteers to assist the photographer, smooth those cowlicks, and make sure everyone is saying "cheese"! Click here to sign up.
