Big shout-out to the 30+ Lakeview ladies who hung out with us last Wednesday at Chainline. We had a blast mingling, chatting, and just having a good time. 

Special thanks to Sweetgreen for their generous food donation, which added to the enjoyment of the event.

We completed our first Lakeview Cardboard city in the art room. Each student who attended created something to add to our city. Many worked as a team to create structures for the city while others were creative working alone. There were many creative items including: space needle, wheel, jello factory, animal hospitals, museums, Lakeview, met market, airplanes, sports courts, Dicks burgers and even Claire's. It was exciting to watch it all come together and work as a community to make art.

This month in Creators' Lab, we are diving into clay. We are reading the book Emma Kate and talking about imaginary friends. The kids will think creatively and create an imaginary creature friend. This can be something seen before or something new. We are using self hardening clay and will dry at school for over 72 hours before coming home.
