We did it. We made it through another school year! This year, the PTSA’s goals were to bring the community together, to provide enrichment opportunities across art, STEM, and athletics, and to help students develop confidence and independence through new experiences such as field trips. With your help, we did all of this and more to make it an amazing year for our students!
The community came together with fun events like the Ice Cream Social, Trunk-or-Treat, Art Walk, Family Game Night, and Carnival (just to name a few!). Our Leopards also had many opportunities for enriching experiences throughout the year. From monthly art lessons in the Creator’s Lab, to the Math Challenges/Competitions; from the School Play to the Half-Marathon, there was something for everyone. With support from the PTSA, students enjoyed field trips to the Seattle Aquarium, the Amazing Bubble Man show, and 5th Grade Outdoor Ed at Camp Seymour.
In addition, PTSA team members supported the school community. We coordinated the Before/After School Enrichment Program; assembled the yearbook; supported food insecure students; worked with the teachers and staff at the Vision & Hearing Screening, Science Fair, Multicultural Night, and Book Fair; showed our appreciation for school staff with treats throughout the year; and so much more!
None of these events and programs would have been possible without your support. Thank you to everyone who volunteered, donated to the PTSA, and showed up to our events. Thank you to the teachers and staff who helped our kids learn and grow each day. Thank you to Mrs. Williams, Mr. Hennings, and Mrs. Davidson for partnering with the PTSA. And thank you to our PTSA board members for all their hard work this year! You are all what makes Lakeview special and we are so grateful for you.
