We are excited to announce that Lakeview PTSA will continue sponsoring in-person before and after-school enrichment classes at Lakeview Elementary this Winter.

Classes begin January 17th. Please note that space is limited!

All classes will need a dedicated adult chaperone to be there during classes. This is a fun way to help in the PTSA on behalf of students while getting a free session for your child. Please reach out if you are interested in learning more about this opportunity!

Chaperone a class for the whole session and receive it for free!

Class Description

Put on a mini-musical in this energetic drama class where we’ll learn singing, acting, and dancing skills! Then, we’ll choose a mini-musical to rehearse and prepare for a presentation on the final day of class. Past favorite mini-musicals have included 101 Dalmatians, Aristocats, and Lion King.

Game developers are much more than tech experts — they’re also creatives who use code to bring stories to life. These lessons take students with basic Scratch skills beyond game creation into the magical world of storytelling. Students brainstorm and organize their ideas, use Scratch’s art tools to draw original game assets, and code story projects with many scenes and animations.

Students are introduced to new vocabulary and their correct pronunciation. Students will engage and immerse in the language and enjoy cultural lessons while expanding knowledge and vocabulary on the subject on hand. Beginners/ intermediate are welcome!   Students are introduced to new vocabulary and their correct pronunciation. Snapology Robotics: In this Snapology robotics program, your student will begin to explore the world of robotics as they follow instructions to build various models that teach the fundamentals of robotic design. They will develop their linear thinking and beginner coding skills while expanding their engineering abilities and creative problem-solving skills. With a partner they will use sensors, build and utilize simple machines, explore the utility of gears and axles, and use coding and engineering design to solve practical robotic challenges. Your students will be challenged in fun ways that will captivate their interests and grow their technical skills.

Our Junior Mad Scientists put STEM into science. We examine how potential and kinetic energy is used to power toys, learn about frequencies and cell phones, explore what life is like underwater, discover how the sun, wind, and water make electricity, and experiment with action-reaction forces as we investigate Newton’s three laws of motion.
