Leopard Tales - December 13th, 2023

A message from our Lakeview PTSA Co-Presidents

Wow, we can’t believe it’s almost time for Winter Break!

We’ve had an amazing first half of the year!  From the Ice Cream Social, to the Art Walk, and everything in between, it’s clear that our Lakeview community is awesome!

Thank you to all our volunteers who have helped in so many ways: enrichment class chaperones, pantry pack helpers, art docents, and event volunteers, just to name a few!  Lakeview is fortunate to have so many parents, friends, family, and neighbors who care - thank you!

2024 promises to be a fun one!  We’re kicking off the new year with 11 enrichment classes (sign up here), a School Play “What a Knight!” (info meeting Jan 8), and a STEM-themed Family Game Night (with free pizza - yum!) on Jan 17.  As always, we’d love to hear from you. Reach out anytime to get involved.

To the 17 members of the Lakeview PTSA Board - thank you for your dedication, creativity, and sense of humor!

Have a restful and wonderful Winter Break everyone!

Carol and Erin

Bellevue Ice Rink

Simply mention Lakeview PTSA when you purchase your tickets, and $3 from every paid ticket will be donated to your PTSA!

This offer is valid from now through January 15th.

For more info go to Bellevue Downtown Ice Rink

This month in Creator's Lab, we explored making artful mistakes. The kids made artwork from papers with premade mistakes (rip, fold, smudge, line). We learned that mistakes can be hard and cause lots of mixed emotions and that is ok. In art, we want to have patience, flexibility for change, and creativity when looking at a mistake. Mistakes can be beautiful.

December special ask: For our February art project, we are also collecting paper tubes, tiny, recycled boxes and small plastic containers. Please bring them along if you have any. Thank you!
