ICE CREAM SOCIAL AND CURRICULUM NIGHT

 

 

Join us for Curriculum Night & Ice Cream Social on Thursday, September 21st, from 5:30 pm to 7 pm at Lakeview Elementary.

 

This event is sponsored by the PTSA and is an excellent opportunity to mingle with other families, while enjoying some delicious ice cream on the playground.  You'll also get a chance to learn about upcoming PTSA events and programs!

 

Before and after school enrichment vendors will be onsite to answer any questions you may have about the upcoming enrichment classes. 

 

Teachers will present their curriculum program for the school year before our ice cream treat.

 

Lots of volunteers are needed!  Sign up to volunteer here.

 

 

Event Schedule:

  • 5:20 pm: doors will be open by the Gym.
    • Stop by the PTSA table at the entrance and grab your free ticket to be exchanged for an ice-cream. (1 ticket per person)
  • 5:30 pm: Parents/guardians with students in grades K, 1st, 2nd and 2/3FTQ will go to the designated areas (see below) for curriculum night.
    • Lakeview students, grades K-5 can play in the playground under supervision.
  • 6:00 pm: Parents/guardians with students in grades 3, 4, 4FTQ, and 5 will go to the designated areas (read below) for curriculum night.
    • Lakeview students, grades K-5 can play in the playground under supervision.

6:00-7:00 pm: Ice-cream will be served in exchange for a ticket. Yay!

 

The Curriculum Night schedule

 

The curriculum night will be divided into two sessions:


Students in grades K, 1st, 2nd, and our 2/3FTQ students will have curriculum night from 5:30-6:00 pm

  • Kindergarten teachers will be presenting individually in their child's classroom.  
  • 1st grade teachers will be presenting together in the commons (our gym/lunchroom). 
  • 2nd grade teachers will be presenting together in the library.
  • 2nd/3rd grade FTQ teachers will be presenting individually in their child's classroom.

Students in grades 3, 4, 4FTQ, and 5 will have curriculum night from 6:00-6:30 pm

  • 3rd grade teachers will be presenting individually in their child's classroom.
  • 4th grade teachers will be presenting in the commons (our gym/lunchroom).
  • 4FTQ teachers will be presenting individually in their child's classroom.
  • 5th grade teachers will be presenting together in the library.
While Curriculum Night is an adult only event, volunteers will be onsite to supervise students in Grades K - 5 only.
