SPRING ENRICHMENT BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL CLASSES

 

We are excited to announce the classes for our 2025 Spring Enrichment/Before and After-School Programs! Registration:

 

REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN 

 

Classes will begin on April 28th, 2025 and run through June 20th, 2025 unless otherwise noted.

 

 

  

Parent Chaperones needed:

Parent chaperones make our classes successful by helping with attendance and helping out our kids. All classes must have a chaperone to run. Volunteer to be a chaperone for the entire season and your child can attend the class for free!

Coding - Python - By Coding with Kids

Join us to explore Python, a widely used programming language. Beginners get a user-friendly introduction, covering essentials like variables and functions. Returning students delve into advanced topics like Arrays, while all students create various fun games, including a custom space invaders game.

 

When: Tuesdays, 7:55am to 8:55am

Open to: 3-5

Dates: April 29th - June 17th (8 classes)

Chess Club - By Excel with Chess

Beginners through advanced players are welcome at Chess Club! Make new friends while learning chess skills and practicing together each week. Chess has been proven to improve focus and critical thinking! In our classroom, chess is also a fun game where we build confidence, socialize, and practice sportsmanship.
We will adjust each Chess Club to the students who attend to make sure all players learn! Beginners will learn chess fundamentals from castling to checkmate. We will learn tactics and checkmate patterns to build confidence finishing a game. We may even learn advanced tournament skills while learning from famous chess games!

 

When: Thursdays, 7:55am to 8:55am

Open to grades: K-5

Dates: May 1st - June 12th (7 classes)

Space Wars Robotics - By Snapology

Robotics inspired by Star Wars® and space travel – how cool! Come on an adventure building and programming functional robots using LEGO® bricks in this super-fun program. Learn about space, space travel and, of course, Star Wars® building different robots each class! Pre-requisite: previous Snapology robotics program experience recommended 

 

When: Fridays, 7:55am to 8:55am

Open to grades: 2-5

Dates: May 2nd - June 13th

Mini Musical - By Studio East

Put on a mini-musical in this energetic drama class where we’ll learn singing, acting, and dancing skills! Then, we’ll choose a mini-musical to rehearse and prepare for a presentation on the final day of class. Past favorite mini-musicals have included 101 Dalmatians, Aristocats, and Lion King.

 

When: Mondays, 3:50 - 5:05 PM

Open to grades: 1-3

Basketball - By B&B Training solutions

B&B Training Solutions provides a wide variety of basketball training that is both fun and safe. We emphasize critical lessons in sports, such as teamwork, respect and sportsmanship. Our programs are designed to give each child a positive introduction into sports through a game-based and fundamental curriculum. All while fostering a lifelong love for an active, healthy lifestyle. Players of any level are welcome! All of our coaches bring years of experience and success across multiple levels of play, including college and professionally in the Euro League.

Street Hockey - By McVander Hockey

McVander Hockey’s MISSION is to bring a SUPER-FUN BALL HOCKEY experience directly to the COMMUNITY. No Ice, no skating, and no experience required. Every participant goes home with a McVander Hockey t-shirt AND a stick & ball to keep.

Art: Paint, Sculpt and Design - By CreArt Studioz

This season, young artists will explore new techniques, experiment with textures, and bring their ideas to life! From oil pastel resist and watercolor layering to 3D pop-up designs and pattern storytelling, each project is a hands-on journey into the world of art. Through painting, sculpting, and mixed media, kids will build skills, spark imagination, and make joyful, messy masterpieces!

Coding: Minecraft Modding - By Coding with Kids

Calling all Minecrafters! Join us in this course to build Minecraft mods (modifications) while learning coding.  With a drag-and-drop coding environment, students learn coding concepts, such as Variables, Conditionals, and Loops. They apply the concepts to personalize the game with custom world maps, new items, chat commands, and mini-games! It will be an exciting journey of coding and creativity!

Lakeview Soccer - By GOALS

GOALS provides exceptional youth soccer enrichment programs that promote a healthy lifestyle, build confidence and character, and teach values that can be used both on and off the field. We use our, "skill of the day" and our, "word of the day" to engage students in the game of soccer, all while helping them develop social and emotional skills. GOALS is the ultimate way for your student enjoy the end the school day on a positive note.

Spanish - By Paris Academy Northwest 

This language enrichment program is for students who wish to get a head-start before middle or high school and have fun while learning the language. The class is taught by an experienced teacher using the curriculum that is carefully designed to lay a strong foundation for future. Groups are organized by language level and age for better interaction. Beginners/Intermediate welcome!

Magic: Green Wand Magic Course - By Seattle Magic Academy

Get ready to take an amazing adventure into the exciting world of magic! Join the Seattle Magic Academy with their very popular magic class! Learn how to cut a person in half, give your friends super-hero powers, make invisible objects appear in a magic pouch, plus many more! This term is the "Green Wand" course. The 4 different wand color courses offered can be taken in any order, and all the magic is different in each course. Students gain communication skills and self-confidence in these magic classes.

Students will receive all the magic tricks taught in the course, “secret” file folders, access to an online video vault to revisit everything being taught, and more surprises!

Jump Rope - By Rope Works

Learn to Jump Rope with Us!

Jump Rope For Fun & Fitness is an exciting program for all skill levels, led by expert instructors passionate about helping kids jump, play, and thrive. Kids will learn single rope tricks with personalized instruction, build friendships through buddy jumping, create synchronized routines, and develop teamwork with long rope and Double Dutch. Each session includes warm-ups, goal-setting, hands-on practice, and Jump Rope Jam sessions to celebrate progress. Created by 5-Time World Champion Rene Bibaud, this highly acclaimed program has been inspiring kids in the Seattle area for over 25 years

 

When: Thursdays, 3:50pm to 4:50 PM
