2024 SPRING ENRICHMENT BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL CLASSES
We are excited to announce the classes for our 2024 Spring Enrichment/Before and After-School Programs!

Classes will begin on April 22nd and run through June 20th unless otherwise noted.
Parent Chaperones needed:
Parent chaperones make our classes successful by helping with attendance and helping out our kids. All classes must have a chaperone to run. Volunteer to be a chaperone for the entire season and your child can attend the class for free! E-mail: enrichment@lakeviewptsa.org if you'd like to chaperone.

Before school classes - MORNING |
Python Coding - By Coding with Kids
Join us to explore Python, a widely used programming language. Beginners get a user-friendly introduction, covering essentials like variables and functions. Returning students delve into advanced topics like Arrays, while all students create various fun games, including a custom space invaders game.

French - By Paris Academy Northwest - CANCELLED due to low enrollment
Come and join us in a bilingual, multicultural education which opens doors and minds to the world. PANW offers language immersion classes for students who wish to get a head-start before high school and have fun while learning a language. The class is taught by an experienced teacher using the curriculum that is carefully designed by language experts in the field. Students are introduced to new vocabulary and their correct pronunciation periodically following a theme.

Sculpt, Paint, Sketch, Draw - By Create Studio Z
This session we will explore Romero Britto mosaics, create vivid oil pastel wicks, design blue pottery pots, play with complementary colors, mold clay coil treats, paint with Starry Night strokes, sketch pet portraits, and experiment with foam prints. Join us for a season of artistic discovery and expression with all new themes and projects!

Incredible Inventions Robotics - By Snapology
Do you enjoy inventing new things? Learn about the process real inventors go through while you help design, build and program robotic models to solve problems using LEGO® bricks and robotics. Are you the next Thomas Edison? Learning is enhanced through use of laptops.

Chess Club - By Excel with Chess
Welcome back to chess club at Lakeview Elementary! Each class will have check-in, lessons, practice play, and an in-class tournament round. We ensure that all kids are being challenged and learning something new each week. We offer a Fall, Winter, and Spring Chess Session each Thursday at 8:00am, minus school holidays. Our first class we will be assessing all of the students to see what level everyone is at. Based on these assessments, we will have multiple groups. This will also give us an idea what key chess strategies we will be learning throughout each session.

Basketball Training - By B&B Training solutions
B&B Training Solutions provides a wide variety of basketball training that is both fun and safe. We emphasize critical lessons in sports, such as teamwork, respect and sportsmanship. Our programs are designed to give each child a positive introduction into sports through a game-based and fundamental curriculum. All while fostering a lifelong love for an active, healthy lifestyle. Players of any level are welcome! Coach Brandon brings years of experience and success across multiple levels of play, including Seattle Pacific University and Professionally in the Euro League.

Bricks Across America - By Snapology
Let’s travel across the map together! In this program, students will work together to learn fun facts about each US state & territory. They will work with a partner to build one important item from each state’s identity out of LEGO® bricks. They will then present this to the class and by the end of the program, they will have a greater understanding of key aspects of each U.S State and Territory. Students will have a blast learning about culture & geography while expressing their creativity while building.

Science Surprise! - By Mad Science
In this program, students learn about several specialized areas of science, including forensics, geology, meteorology, entomology, and mechanical engineering. They gain foundational science knowledge that will help them in their future science endeavors.

Flag Football - By B&B Training Solutions
Now open to 1st graders!
Flag football is an exhilarating and inclusive sport that offers all the thrills of traditional football without physical contact. In flag football, players wear flags attached to belts around their waist, and instead of tackling, opponents must remove the flag to stop the ball carrier. Orange Wand Magic Classes - By Seattle Magic Academy
Join the award-winning Seattle Magic Academy as we present our "Discover Magic" wand magic camp (the 4 different wand courses offered can be taken in any order, and all the magic in each course is different). Rule number one for the classes is "Have Fun!" In addition to learning amazing magic, we also emphasize life skills that will help your children improve their communication skills and self-confidence!

Spanish - By Paris Academy Northwest
This language enrichment program is for students who wish to get a head-start before middle or high school and have fun while learning the language. The class is taught by an experienced teacher using the curriculum that is carefully designed to lay a strong foundation for future. Groups are organized by language level and age for better interaction. Beginners/Intermediate welcome!

Jump Rope - By Rope Works
Students will have the opportunity to come out and learn new jump rope skills with a single rope and Double Dutch. Students will also be able to play jump rope related games while having fun with their friends.

Mathnasium Mini - By Mathnasium
At Mathnasium, we know how vital learning math is in elementary school — it forms the foundation for all your child’s future math studies. With Mathnasium Mini, you'll get a bite-sized introduction to how we Make Math Fun with individualized curriculum, personalized instruction, and student-driven rewards!

Build to Solve - By Steamoji
With Steamoji’s Build to Solve™ Intro program, students are exposed to foundational subjects in fabrication, physical computing, engineering and digital arts using latest technologies and hands-on projects. The projects involves 3D Pen Design, Laser Cutting & 3D Printing. This class is open to new and returning students. Returning students will receive new projects. Kickstart your child's confidence as they iterate and improve their designs and can take home their final invention.

- *PTSA Members, will receive an email with the links to enroll 24 hours before registration opens up to all Lakeview families.
- Scholarships: Please email our school counselor Sondra Chamberlain to inquire about a scholarship.
- PTSA can sponsor a limited number of need-based scholarships. $5 is added to tuition ($7 for language classes) and is used to help fund scholarships.
