| Math Challenge (Bi-Weekly) |
Math Challenge is a free math enrichment program offered to all students at Lakeview.
The purpose of this program is to entice, engage and challenge students to solve interesting math problems while along the way, strengthen their math fundamentals, critical thinking, problem solving skills and improve confidence in math.
Students can also involve their families to help and engage in a fun discussion to solve math problems.
How to participate:
- Download the current challenge at https://www.mathinaction.
org/lakeview.html or pick up a copy from the library. - Submit your answers here: https://forms.gle/
hhVs4WiP974xa2PU9 or drop off your work in the dropbox placed in the library. - Solutions are provided one week after the due date so your student can see how they did.

- 11/14/2023 (tentative) - Fall Noetic Learning Math Contest, more info coming in October.
- 3/21/2024 - Math Kangaroo. After school 3:50-5:05pm
- 4/16/2024 (tentative) - Spring Noetic Learning Math Contest, more info in Spring 2024.
Fall Noetic Learning Math Contest
- Open to: 2nd-5th Grade.
- Tentative date: November 14, 2023.

Math Kangaroo
Math Kangaroo is an international math competition.
- Open to: 1st-5th Grade.
- Date: March 21st, 2024.

- Early registration fee is $21 per student (Sep 15 – Dec 15).
- Registration fee after Dec 15th is $35 per student (Dec 16 – 31).
Interested students can register for the competition on Math Kangaroo's website.
Lakeview is a private center, please enter our invitation code at registration: WAKIRKL0006001@2024MK
Already registered elsewhere? You can also use our invitation code to transfer your registration to Lakeview. All participants will receive a set of practice questions from the PTSA after registration closes.
We will need a few parent volunteers as proctors on competition day; for volunteering, please e-mail stem@lakeviewptsa.org.
